ALANA
GLITTERS LIKE GOLD
DOES DRESSAGE,
JUMPS and TRAIL RIDES
Alana
is a lovely refined mare with delicate features, and very friendly. Both parents were
imported from Austria, and have been Inspected & Classified. Alana has been trained in
English riding, dressage and jumping. She is very talented, athletic, loves to jump over
multiple jumps and thinks ahead. She is energetic, with real forward action. I
also think she would do well in endurance events. Alana
's extensive training makes her suitable for an advanced beginner
or intermediate rider.
She has a great disposition, is a very
pretty mover, and has smooth gaits. Alana has participated in several shows and is ready
to make someone an excellent hunter/jumper show pony. She loves to get a bath (in
warm weather) and has traveled thousands of miles in a trailer. In the Fall of 2001,
Alana was loaned to a Therapeutic Riding Program for several weeks and all the children
loved riding her. Everyone just loved her ability, and her calm and friendly
attitude. In February and March 2002, Alana completed several weeks of mountain
trail riding. She loved the wide open spaces, where she encountered deer,
rabbits and
many other critters. She was interested in everything, but nothing scared her. Since
April 2002, Alana has been in dressage training 3 days a week. She loves performing
the special moves of dressage such as trotting and cantering circles and serpentines, turns
on the forehand, leg yields, and trotting over cavaletti. In May 2002, Alana earned several
ribbons in large classes at the Oregon Gold Horse Show.
Alana has a shinny, metallic
golden body with a white mane
and tail. Her face has a neat white stripe, which narrows to a point at her nostrils. She
has received meticulous health care.
