Legend earned the title
of GRAND CHAMPION in halter
many times as a weanling and yearling at US National Haflinger
Shows and Futurities and the Great Lake Haflinger Futurity.
Legend comes by her name
honestly as a winner of many First Place ribbons, Champion and Grand
Champion trophies in Ohio and Michigan. She is following in her
mother's footsteps. Legend's dam, La Follie, was National Grand
Champion Mare three times and National Best of Show winner twice.
Legend's sire, Nobleman, TOF, was National Grand Champion in 1996.
Legend's daughter, La
Chic Stylen is
destined for greatness, following in the path of her mother, Legend,
and her and other accomplished ancestors.
Legend arrived at our
facility as a yearling. In the summer of her second year, she was
ground driven, and soon graduated to a pleasure cart. In the winter
of her third year, we started riding her at a walk, then trotting
straight lines. She loves her work, performs with a willing attitude
and moves with grace and beauty. During the past several years,
Legend has been driven in many shows and demonstrations by Larry Smith.
They have
brought home a wall full of ribbons, mostly "Blue" and
several "Championship" ribbons. My
favorite thoughts of Legend are when she lays her head on Larry's
shoulder. They have a real "love affair" going on,
but I don't mind. |
