Nala has won many other
top honors at many shows from the West Coast to the Midwest.
We found Nala at the
Great Lakes Haflinger Sale in April 1998. She was just 2 years old
and was looking for a new home. We bought her and transported her back
to Oregon. On that long trip, Nala adopted me. She is a wonderful
equine friend and has endeared herself to me with her loving, calm
personality. Every time she sees me coming, she talks to
me and I must go to her. Nala will do anything I ask of her with
dignity and grace. We are trusting partners and love to go
riding together in our arena, or out on trails with friends, and
even a few shows as time permits. Nala has a spectacular
extended trot and a lovely smooth canter.
Nala carries Austrian
blood on her sire's side and Dutch blood on her dam's side. Her sire
is the famous driving champion, Major Move, NTF (Midas Touch). Nala's
maternal grandfather is the famous Dutch stallion,
Michel of NTF.
In September 2001, Nala
was Inspected & Classified and earned a "SILVER"
rating. One of the judge's final comments was, "Beautiful
mare!" And she is!! Not only on the outside, but on
the inside as well. Nala has a big heart and a sensitive soul.
Nala put her best of
both countries into her first colt, Noblest of ALL, CGH, sired by
Nobleman TOF. Nobleman's sire, Nabucco, is the darling of the
"N" Line in Tyrol, Austria. Nobleman TOF earned his own
fame when he was chosen US National Grand Champion in 1996.
Additional photo's of Nala's colt, Noblest of ALL, can be seen in the "Stallion" section of this web
site. Before Noblest was a year old, he had reached a
height of 56 inches (14.0 h). By the time he was 2 1/2 years
old, during his Inspection & Classification, Noblest was
officially measured at 59 inches (14.3 h) and earned his own
"SILVER" rating.
